Glass Manufacturers Turn To SOLVAir® When Facing Challenges Of SOx In Flue Gas Emissions
12/2/2019
Glass production generates SOx in flue gas emissions in large concentrations from 7-30% depending on the specific glass product. Capturing such high amounts of SOx can be a challenge, but SOLVAir®’s sodium sorbents in DSI can neutralize the acid components in flue gases to comply with legal emission limits. Not only that, but its highly efficient mitigation of SOx can enable glass manufacturers to achieve substantial energy savings!

SOLVAir®s Efficient Air Pollution Solutions For The Cement Industry
11/1/2019
With cement manufacturers becoming more environmentally friendly and switching to alternative fuels such as waste and industrial residues, HCl and SO2 in flue gas emissions need to be treated differently, yet still efficiently and cost-effectively. By injecting a sodium-based dry sorbent into the flue gases right before bag filters, the pollutants in the flue gases can be removed with the minimum amount of sorbent, with residues formed at minimum cost per ton of clinker produced.

Industrial Boilers: The Economic Benefits Of DSI Using Dry Sodium Sorbents In Flue Gas Mitigation
10/2/2019
Wet scrubbers are often used at large boilers due to their high SO2 removal efficiency, but for small utility boilers, they could be expensive, and the resultant water from a wet scrubber must be treated before being released. Find out why DSI and dry sodium sorbents can be a cost-effective option, in this issue of the SOLVAir Breeze!

FGD Wastewater Treatment Brochure
8/8/2019
The combustion of coal that requires emission control technologies is widely recognized as a significant environmental issue due to the potential release of hazardous and environmentally damaging pollutants. Globally, discharge water standards are becoming stricter for the waste streams from the emission control process, with an increasing number of metals and other parameters being regulated. Coal-fired power plants are subject to stringent regulations of coal combustion residuals and FGD wastewater from local authorities as well as effluent limitation guidelines (ELGs) from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
