The Wright Drive sockets spread the contact stress more evenly over a larger face area than any other socket system available. For example, on a 5/8" SAE Grade 5 fastener, the Wright Drive socket provides a contact area of .057" compared with only .005" for a conventional socket.
Protected under the U.S. patents (6 pt. #5,284,073; 12 pt. #4,882,957) the Wright Drive sockets are fully certified for high torque aerospace fasteners under AS954 specifications.
Made from American 4140 alloy steel, the Wright socket is hot-forged, a process that improves its inherent strength and quality characteristics. The result is a tool that provides outstanding performance and long-lasting service.
