Vortex Valves Inaugural Appearance At POWER-GEN 2011

Vortex Valves North America will exhibit at the largest U.S. power industry tradeshow, POWER-GEN 2011. Vortex will be in Booth 7847 at the Las Vegas Convention Center Dec. 13-15. Vortex designs and manufactures full-scale valves for power, cement, chemical, mineral and aggregate industries.

Vortex offers a Titan Series Diverter for coal-fired powered plants. The diverters have superior features such as wear compensating seals and access panels. This allows for quick inspection or seal replacements without removing the valve from service. The blade and interior wear surfaces are also lined with abrasion resistant plates that are easily replaced through access panels.

Vortex blends the superior dust-tight sealing ability with the abrasion resistant design to create the Titan Series Abrasion Resistant Slide Gate – an ideal solution for handling coal. The valve has inline maintenance capabilities improving efficiency and productivity. The removable seals are tight enough that a return pan is not necessary in the coal-fired power plant.
