Vestas Receives 22 MW Order In The Netherlands

After a competitive tender process, long-term customer Eneco places order comprising six V112-3.45 MW turbines in 3.6 MW Power Optimised Mode for the Slufterdam wind park near Rotterdam.

The 22 MW firm and unconditional order is placed by Eneco via its special project company Windpark Eneco Slufterdam B.V. and includes supply and commissioning of the turbines as well as a full-scope service agreement. Delivery and commissioning of the wind turbines are planned for the second half of 2018.

The order follows after another Dutch customer, Nuon Energy, ordered 28 MW of V112-3.45 MW turbines with 3.6 MW Power Optimised Mode in June 2017 also for the Slufterdam wind park. The wind park holds a total capacity of 50 MW and is a joint project between Noun Energy and Eneco, two key players in the Dutch wind industry. Vestas’ winning tender offer for the supply of all turbines for the Slufterdam wind park as well as the service agreements is part of the EU-tendering procedure executed by Eneco and Noun Energy.

“Nuon Energy and Eneco are long-term customers and key players in the Dutch wind energy sector and we are happy that they once again show full confidence in the business case certainty that our state-of-the-art wind solutions offer. The V112-3.45 MW in 3.6 MW Power Optimised Mode is one of the most proven turbines globally and we look forward to providing Nuon and Eneco a strong return on their investment”, states Nils de Baar, President of Vestas Central Europe.
