The UPT-1000, like other Autotest systems, employs exclusive APG for Microsoft Windows software. The interactive program creation and diagnostics modules, along with the Autotest DART (Design and Repair Testing) real-time control and display system, combine to take full advantage of the UPT-1000 system's powerful instrumentation and testing capabilities.

UPT-1000 standard configurations are typically used as sub-assembly or final assembly UPS testers. UPT-1000 systems are also equipped to provide automatic stimulus and measurement calibration and verification. Windows based software enables the system to download configuration and calibration data as part of the computer or network interactive UPS assembly test program. With this ability, the UPT-1000 can provide automatic stimulus and measurement calibration and verification.
