The manufacturer has expanded their ultrafast rectifier product line to include the surface-mount MURS 160 and axial MUR460 and MUR160. The MUR/MURS series incorporates a new chip design and process that results in improved reverse switching characteristics, higher reverse surge capability and better electrostatic discharge-withstanding ability. The products are used primarily in monitors, uninterrupted power supplies, desktop computer power supplies and switch-mode power supplies.
