TurboCare celebrates grand opening of new facility

Rapidly growing demand for turbomachinery service and repair has prompted TurboCare, a division of Demag Delavel Services, to build its largest and most sophisticated facility just outside Houston located in Pearland.

"This new 139,000 square foot facility, with 60-foot-high bays, 100-ton lift-capacity, and an enlarged operating speed balancing bunker to accommodate larger steam and gas turbines will enable us to handle any turbine service or repair in the Gulf Coast region or throughout the world," said Brian Glynn, TurboCare's Director of Sales.

More than 250 turbomachinery executives from 30 states and 10 countries attended a two-day Grand Opening event at the new Houston facility with a "Mind Over Machine" theme. They attended 14 seminars and workshops with titles ranging from "Steam Turbine Rerates" to "Gas Turbine Component Repairs." For the event, TurboCare transformed a portion of the new facility's shop floor into a five-star restaurant featuring a live band, Circus de Sole'-style performers from California and a grand finale pyrotechnics display.

The new facility is located at 3100 South Sam Houston Parkway East, Houston, TX 77047. For more information, visit their website at http://www.turbocare.com/.
