The TIMEpoint PC is designed for time and attendance, labor reporting and access control applications. It has networked PC power and auto-ID technologies, including bar code or magnetic stripe scanning, intelligent serial I/O and digital I/O. An optional internal PCMCIA Type 1 memory card provides for stand-alone operation as well as local storage of data and applications. The system has DOS PC time clocks that features three communication options for different installation requirements. It features a COM port for serial communications, an internal 2400 baud modem for communication with remote installations, and a 10Base-T Ethernet option for direct connection to popular local area networks (LAN). A digital I/O interface is available and can be used to automatically open doors or sound external alarms for security and access control applications. The system comes standard with a built-in badge reader, a 23-key numeric keyboard and an external speaker.
