Clearwater is pleased to introduce the latest advancement in heat transfer thermal fluids, Thermogreen (patent applied for), a high performance, safe alternative to glycol-based fluids. Thermogreen thermal fluids are designed to provide enhanced heat transfer performance in line heaters and related applications, while presenting a more friendly environmental profile.

Thermogreen thermal fluid is a ready-to-use heat transfer fluid that has all the necessary properties for efficient heat transfer. It improves heat transfer efficiency in line heaters, cutting cycle times and reducing fuel use. Thermogreen is formulated with inhibitors to reduce corrosion, and can be formulated for a wide range of freeze and boiling points, for nearly any application.

With environmental responsibility a major concern to those in the transmission and production industry, Thermogreen offers a package that is safe to personnel in handling and maintenance, non-irritating to skin and with a favorable pH. Thermogreen has no BTEX component, and if discharged to the environment, biodegrades rapidly with a very low oxygen demand. This reduces environmental persistence and reduces the risk to fish and other aquatic species from oxygen depletion.

Since glycol fluids are most commonly used in line heater applications, we have included a comparison of important thermal fluid properties and environmental issues between ethylene glycol, propylene glycol, and Thermogreen on the following pages.
