Technology Course

The "Corona Technology Course" seminars, beginning in January, 2001, are available both scheduled and open to all registrants and also by exclusive seminars for a company or organization.

The two day long seminars will cover in detail the who, what, when, where, and why of corona. What the true costs of corona are and prevention methods. Corona occurs typically at 5 kV AC and above and in many types of equipment including electric motors, switchgear, substations, transmission line insulators and conductors. The course will cover what works and what has been tried and doesn't work. Attendees are encouraged to bring questions and applications to discuss. It will also present the methods to detect corona and arcing and provide hands-on testing for each attendee with each of the latest technologies available and discuss advantages and disadvantages.
