Unifin offers the design of large composite framed assemblies of multiple steam heating coils, collectively referred to as Steam Coil Air Heaters.
Unifin offers the design of large composite framed assemblies of multiple steam heating coils, collectively referred to as Steam Coil Air Heaters. The units serve some of the world's largest steam turbine power plants.

The units, designed from the ground up for these massive installations, include the features demanded by large-scale industrial applications: airtight and proof tested frames, dust blowers, spray wash systems, access sections, drain pan, roll-out cores and more. Also offered is a wide range of fin spacing and fin thickness to ensure the thermal efficiency required. Unifin also offers an "extra heavy duty" extruded fin (nominal spacing: 4 fins per inch) used primarily in waste-to-energy.

Since the coils are made up of separate individual finned tubes, coil geometry can be optimized to provide wide fin tip gaps, wide row spacing, staggered or in-line tubes, as the application requires, while still maintaining maximum thermal efficiency.

Each finned tube coil of a steam air heater is also individually removable from the frame (either from the connection end or the opposite end) for maintenance, repair, or replacement.
