AgAid is produced from the flue gas desulfurization (FGD) systems installed on coal-fired boilers to remove sulfur dioxide emissions from the air. The main chemical constituents are soluble calcium and sulfur, which help to improve soil structure. The chemical and physical properties of it allow for increased permeability and root penetration into the topsoil. It adds moisture retention properties to sandier soils and improves overall soil tilth. It also helps improve the permeability in clay soils by flocculating the clay particles.
This product is used to neutralize and revitalize salt and sodium saturated soils, which often accumulate on irrigated soils or from industrial activity. Enhanced water and fertilizer uptake by the plant is an expected result of adding it to the soil. The fertilizer enhances planting soil and can also be added to various crops such as potatoes, peanuts and grasses. It is designed to improve plant growth and soil structure, and deliver competitive prices.
