Case Study: PureWave AVCs Reduce VAR Demand, Improve Power Factor at Container Terminals

Energy Australia made plans to upgrade their system and supply the terminal at 33 kV. The terminal also made plans to upgrade the distribution system of their facilities.

S&C's PureWave AVC™ Adaptive VAR Compensators were selected for the application. The PureWave AVCs compensate for varying reactive power demand by rapidly switching capacitors in and out of the system.
