Shermco Industries Expands Austin, Texas Operations

Shermco Industries, a leading provider of rotating apparatus and electrical power system testing, commissioning, repair, maintenance and training, announced recently the new construction and expansion of its Austin, Texas operations.

The company recently acquired 2.56 acres in Cedar Park, Texas, located at 1705 Hur Industrial Blvd. Construction of the 10,000 square foot service and training facility is scheduled to be complete by April 2010 and will employ 23, said Kevin Ewing, Shermco's Austin operations manager.

"This will allow us to enhance our service offerings and expand our south Texas operations." said Ewing, "This facility will serve industrial and commercial users, as well as utility companies with a training facility and our full NETA testing and engineering activities."

Ewing said the company will add to its staff prior to opening by hiring sales and production people.
