DCH Technology, Inc.hydrogen sensor is a versatile, full range monitoring system powered by an 8-bit microcontroller with 12K bytes of program memory. The sensor is externally connected to an Amphenol Series 165 connector at the top of the unit, and can be attached directly or several feet away through the use of a flexible cable and wand. It consists of a hydrogen sensitive transistor for low concentrations of hydrogen (less than 1%), a hydrogen sensitive resistor for high concentrations (greater than 1%), a temperature sensing diode, and two power transistor heaters to purge and reset the sensing elements. Additional provisions are available for an external power supply, calibration, datalogging, and communication with a computer. This model is available as a portable hand held unit, an integration kit for installation into existing equipment, or a stand-alone, fixed installation sensor system.
