RheoVac Air In-Leak Monitor

Condenser air in-leakage can be continuously and accurately metered with the RheoVac Air In-leak Monitor from Intek, Inc. This unique instrument measures mass flow and other parameters to provide valuable information about the condenser system. There is no more guessing about the causes of increased back pressure. Continuously monitoring this information can help save hundreds of thousands of dollars per year in excess fuel costs, increased heat rate, or load loss.

The RheoVac air in-leak monitor installs in the vacuum line between the condenser and the exhauster (e.g. liquid ring seal pumps or steam jet air ejectors). Four primary variables are sensed to provide true air in-leak and total mass flow rate measurement, along with eight other gas property outputs. There are numerous benefits to having this information, including:
1. increasing excess air in-leak can be spotted before it affects back pressure.
2. corrective action can be scheduled when exhauster performance degradation is noted.
3. the results of air in-leak reduction efforts can be seen immediately. With multiple units, leak search times are reduced.
