Cross-contamination of refrigerant gases has become decidedly more complex due to the increasing popularity of the zeotropic blends. The components of many of these blends exhibit very similar properties to the refrigerants being separated. This directly contributes to the degree of difficulty of the particular separation. Hudson's separation process begins with a chemical analysis that facilitates the development of a specific method designed to simplify the separation and maximize the yield.

Hudson's separation capabilities are not limited to separating refrigerants from other refrigerants. The company's proprietary separation technology enables the removal of thermal breakdown components from refrigerants as well as various chemical contaminants where single plate distillation methods will not achieve ARI 700 purity standards.

It is the commitment to discovering new, faster and more efficient methods of removing contaminants from refrigerants that is a driving force behind Hudson's separation process as well as every refrigerant-side decontamination technique developed and offered.
