Sepril, LLC has released version 1.7 of the SOAPP-CT WorkStation. The software provides integrated technology evaluation/selection, conceptual design, and financial analysis of combustion turbine-based plants.

The design and financial analysis of combustion turbine-based plants provided by the software helps users to explore the impacts of an array of equipment technology and design criteria upon project generation costs and financial performance.

The product automates the plant conceptual design process, generates the process configurations, heat and material balances, equipment selection and sizing, process and piping diagrams, 3D arrangement drawings, cost estimates, construction schedules, and financial analyses.

The version provides the following additional features:

  • Updated Capital Costs: Capital cost estimates for combustion turbines, steam turbines, and HRSG's have been refined and balance of plant equipment costs have been adjusted to reflect market conditions.
  • Increased User Flexibility for Cycle Design: Optional Inputs for design steam turbine stage efficiencies and backpressure, CT inlet and outlet pressure losses, and hot reheat pressure have been added.
  • New Scenario Comparison and Plotting Capabilities: A "Scenario Manager" compares and plots results from multiple conceptual designs.
