Portable Flowmeter with Enhanced Multi-phase Flow Capability

The handheld TransPort PT868-R uses clamp-on transducers the PT868-R to measure flow rate through metal, plastic, or concrete-lined pipes, causing no pressure drop and measuring flow rate even for liquids totally devoid of "scatterers." The unit can be keypad switched between a TransFlection and transit-time mode, thereby measuring from ultra-pure to raw sewage liquids. The transit-time mode uses digital signal processing (DSP), including patented acoustic signal coding and correlation detection for high signal-to-noise ratios for drift-free flow measurements of liquids with high levels of entrained solids, liquid droplets, or gas bubbles. The TransFlection mode measures flow in pipes of 2- to more than 200-in. diameter. A built-in data logger stores more than 40,000 flow data points and up to 20 sets of site location parameters. Rechargeable battery power for up to 10 hours of continuous remote operation is standard. An optional built-in ultrasonic thickness gauge and temperature transducers for measuring energy flow rate are available.
