Point Level Measurement In Precipitator System Prevents Costly Repairs
Electrostatic precipitators remove harmful particles from the exhaust gas stream in industrial processes. High temperatures and vibration are typical and cause ordinary level indicators to fail resulting in costly repairs.
In many industrial plants, particulate matter created in the industrial process is carried as dust in the hot exhaust gases. These dustladen gases pass through an electrostatic precipitator that collects most of the dust. The dust particles fall into hoppers which then dump the residue onto a conveyor system or collection bins. Cleaned gas then passes out of the precipitator and through a stack to the atmosphere. Typically, precipitators collect 99.9% or more of the dust from the gas stream.
