In addition to the significant procurement cost advantage, operational cost reduction through fuel savings is well documented. In addition to the JT8D first stage nozzle guide vane Turbine Metal Technology also offers JT8D first stage nozzle guide vane cooling baffles and feather seals as separately procurable parts. This allows end users and overhaul facilities to use the TMT PMA baffles and feather seals for nozzle guide vane repair.
