Neutral Grounding Resistors

Avtron Manufacturing, Inc.utral ground resistor is designed to be used for industrial electrical distribution systems. This resistor is installed between the neutral of a generator and earth ground, in order to limit the maximum fault current to a safe level. These lower levels protect generators, transformers, motors, wiring, and associated equipment while allowing sufficient current flow to operate fault-clearing relays. Different models of the resistor can be supplied with open frames for placement inside switchgear or similar enclosures, constructed from corrosion-resistant aluminized steel. It also has internal connection points that eliminate conventional external bushings and the need for elevating stands or towers.
