It is now possible to automatically analyze several chemical parameters with one on-line instrument. The new DiaMon multi-parameter multi-channel analyzer, developed by Bran + Luebbe, provides the water and wastewater treatment industry with an efficient and cost effective method of measuring chemical components.

Developed specifically for automated analysis in water and wastewater treatment plants, a single DiaMon can replace four conventional analyzers. Designed to perform simultaneous analyses of phosphate, ammonia, nitrate and nitrite, the unit also determines the standard absorption coefficient (SAC) which has a direct correlation to chemical oxygen demand (COD). An added feature is the environmentally friendly operation of the instrument, which functions without the use of reagents or hazardous chemicals for nitrate, nitrite and SAC.

The device uses a diode-array spectrometer for direct compound and colorimetric methods to perform chemical measurements. Its on-board computer allows for simple operation with pull down menus, remote control and data logging. The unit is delivered pre-calibrated and includes advanced features such as automatic recalibration and drift compensation. Function monitoring, a proprietary feature, offers built-in automatic monitoring of control functions to minimize maintenance.
