The Clyde Bergemann model US Long Retractable sootblower is designed specifically for the needs of the large Fossil Fired Utility Boiler with inside wall-to-wall widths of 60 feet up to 150 feet. The US can also be used in boilers requiring less travel; however, needing a strong heavy duty built unit for extreme operating conditions. The model US is loaded with features designed to improve cleaning effectiveness, reduce downtime and improve boiler efficiency. A few of these features include:
A. Droop Correction to maintain proper lance path in long travels
B. The balanced design modular carriage assembly for improved reliability and reduced downtime
C. A galvanized, 5/16" thick canopy for longer life
D. Multiple Indexing for improved cleaning
E. Externally adjustable poppet valve for improved maintainability
F. Extra heavy duty construction for longer life and improved safety
G. "CFE" Nozzles for extra heavy duty cleaning requirements
H. Large diameter lance assemblies for improved flow
