Kalcret

Kalcret hard compound is a family of cement-bonded wear-protective materials, utilizing hard inorganic minerals of high compressive strength and good wear resistance. A high density is attained by a well balanced particle size distribution of the individual components. The pores between the cement particles are filled with extremely fine particles of micro-silica.

Kalcret is clearly superior to high-grade concrete. The service temperature of Kalcret is up to 1200°C / 2192°F, depending on the situation. It is also especially useful in protecting components with a difficult geometric shape.

The mixture which includes defined additives is made up of:

hard mineral aggregate

cement binder

micro-silica
Steel fibers may be added and/or expansion joints provided when using Kalcret for higher temperatures.
