HVOF Thermal Spraying Systems
HVOF is used in the restoration of mis-machined parts, for corrosion resistance, wear protection and thermal and electrical insulation. The TMT high velocity oxygen fuel (HVOF) Super SR73 thermal spraying process involves directing combustion gases into specially designed nozzles. These nozzles accelerate the gases to supersonic velocities. Powders are then introduced into the jet stream, are heated and impacted at high velocities onto the substrate. A continuous coating is built up on the surface by repeatedly passing the HVOF torch over the substrate.
The Super SR73 coating is capable of forming the thickest and most dense carbide layer in the industry (0.05") thereby providing the best wear and erosion resistance protection available today.
In addition, to meet specific requirements, we have Diamond Jet and Jet-Kote systems.
