Hamon Group acquires Mariani Battista

The Brussels-based parent company of Hamon Custodis, a global provider of industrial chimney construction and maintenance services, recently acquired Mariani Battista in Milan, Italy. Financial details of the Hamon Group-Mariani deal weren't released.

Besides its global industrial chimney experience, Mariani Battista specializes in refractory-insulating liners for industrial furnaces, boilers, ducts, and reactors. In Europe, Hamon Custodis and Mariani Battista plan to merge and market their services under the name of Hamon Mariani Custodis, said Joe DeMartino, president of Hamon Custodis.

"The acquisition of Mariani Battista, together with our strong domestic performance, makes us consistent with the Hamon vision: to be the leader in the niche markets we serve," DeMartino said. "It will go a long way toward achieving our goal of being the obvious choice of our customers for all the services we provide."

Hamon Custodis has been the leader for industrial chimney, silo, and stack design, construction, inspection, repair, maintenance, and demolition for nearly 100 years. With offices throughout the United States and Europe, Hamon Custodis services various industries including power generation, oil refining, pulp and paper, cement, and chemical.
