Guillotine dampers are designed to isolate the flow of gases at elevated temperatures and in severe applications like power plants, pulp & paper mills, smelters, steel mills, incineration plants, and other combustion systems. Wahlco's guillotine dampers are designed for long life under harsh operating conditions. Wahlco can design a damper for the most challenging applications. Our guillotine dampers are available in three basic configurations to meet a wide range of application requirements. Depending on the service, Wahlco guillotine dampers can be supplied in premium life-extending materials including Cor-Ten, stainless steel or nickel alloys. For severe applications, Wahlco offers our line of fully bonneted dampers. These premium dampers , including the "Flex-Seat" and "Thrust-Seat" designs, are favored by many customers for applications where extreme operating conditions are encountered.

"Ductflow" butterfly, louver, and flap damper designs incorporate a number of blade, drive, and seat options to suit every client's individual requirements. Sizes up to 20 ft. wide, and design temperatures of 2600 degrees F have been supplied. Units can be made of carbon steel, stainless steel, or high-nickel alloys, depending on the specific application. Refractory-lined bodies and high-temperature alloy blades or water-cooled blades are available. All "Ductflow" dampers are of rugged design, and are suitable for the toughest applications.
