PowerWorks is a line of small, low NOx, recuperated gas turbine engine products from Northern Research and Engineering Corporation (NREC). PowerWorks' gas-fueled, turgocharger-based engine design make the engine ideal for rigorous environment of industrial and commercial applications. This engine design employs natural gas, propane or diesel fuel to drive a low speed induction generator to produce electricity. The system ranges in sizes from 30 to 250 kW.

The dual-turbine PowerWorks configuration provides flexibility for matching to mechanical drive load following while reducing stress and prolonging engine life beyond 60,000 hours.
