Flood Certificate and Maps
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Flood Certificate provides certification of a property's location in relation to identified flood zones and supports lending and other requirements as to whether flood insurance is required on the property.
Flood Prone Map
These 100-year flood plain maps are prepared by the USGS and are based on information concerning past floods. They usually show that a site is well outside (or inside) various flood plains without acquiring Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Flood Information Rate Maps (FIRMS).
Flood Prone Maps are used to assess the risk of a flood in the area.
Wetlands Map
Official National Wetlands Inventory maps produced for the Corps of Engineers. These maps are extremely useful where development is planned since they could show old wetlands that are currently dry which should be considered prior to actual development beginning. In the few cases where maps are not available, the names, addresses and phone numbers of the appropriate local agency offices are provided.
