The Safe Flame DFS scanner detects the presence of flame in utility and industrial boilers
Safe Flame DFS Flame Scanner
The Safe Flame DFS scanner detects the presence of flame in utility and industrial boilers. It can measure the characteristics of infrared (IR), ultraviolet (UV), or visible light emitted by the flame.
The system is designed for either wall-fired and or tangentially-fired systems. It is recommended for new installations, and it is also available as an upgrade to existing systems.
Microprocessor technology unlocks a multitude of features previously unavailable, such as a user-friendly interface, comprehensive self-diagnostics, and signal analysis.
The Safe Flame DFS scanner incorporates the following features:
All setpoints and functions are programmed from the front panel via push-buttons. No trimpots or DIP switches to adjust.
A user-friendly display contains an alphanumeric readout that gives the operator messages while troubleshooting or programming.
Digital sampling of the flame signal (2000 times a second) provides the scanner with an unmatched ability to detect low-frequency "flicker." This is a key indication of the presence of flame.
The system is highly modular and is designed for "online" module replacement. This feature minimizes downtime by allowing for substitution of individual modules.
