EJS have produced one of the most successful fabric GTX expansion joint that addresses the concerns of longevity and good performance in the GTX application
For years, EJS has recognized that gas turbine exhaust applications have very distinct problems. In response to the growing concern throughout the industry regarding GTX expansion joints, EJS was determined to develop a product that would accommodate the harsh conditions of the gas turbine application. Through extensive studies, analyses, in-house testing and on-site testing, we have produced one of the most successful fabric GTX expansion joint that addresses the concerns of longevity and good performance in the GTX application.

In order to better serve the needs of our customers, we created several different types of GTX expansion joints depending on service conditions. By using a series of specialized fabric membranes and a series of special metal frame designs, we have developed three types of GTX expansion joints for standard, heavy duty and severe services. Because these types of joints are so critical, we have also implemented a stringent in-house testing program and a field-testing program at a Major U.S. Power Plant.

In the past, it has been the frame designs that have caused most of the problems in GTX fabric expansion joints for many users. Our experience in designing expansion joints for applications that involve temperatures far higher than those seen in GTX service has enable us to develop this line of quality products that provide good performance and a longer life.
