Dual-Flow Water Screens

Installed in a vertical chamber that forms part of the intake well, the screening surface of the Dual-Flow Traveling Water Screen is positioned in the direction of the flow of raw water, as compared with the right-angle position of the thru-flow screen. According to the supplier, the dual-flow design almost completely eliminates any possibility of debris carryover down-stream of the system. Screen chains roll around the foot terminal through steel guide rails in a 180° arc, replacing the foot shaft and sprocket design.
