Dresser-Rand opens Indonesian service center
Located in the Krakatau Industrial Complex in Cilegon, Indonesia, the new service center is capable of conducting service/repair work all brands of rotating equipment, including pumps, compressors, steam turbines, valves and more. The shop has a full complement of machine tools and Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) and Shielded Metal Arc Weld (SMAW) welding capabilities.
"Before opening this new facility, we had to send all of our work to the Dresser-Rand service center in Malaysia - which is about a fourth the size of our new facility - or back to the United States. So as you can see, this facility will be of significant benefit to our clients throughout the Asia-Pacific region," said Alfred Tanagho, vice president for Dresser-Rand Product Services, Asia-Pacific.
PT DRSI has full, direct access to Dresser-Rand technology, engineering, and support services.

Dresser-Rand has maintained offices in the Asia-Pacific region since 1972, and is looking into developing service alliances and more service centers in Asia-Pacific in the near future.
