Datatrap for TDC-3000 is a convenient, flexible, and easy-to-use package for capturing real-time process data on a Honeywell TDC-3000 Distributed Control System (DCS) to an ASCII file.

Intuitive and Easy to Use - Complete with an LCN "native window" schematic that allows easy and intuitive setup of tag names, collection interval (down to one second)and duration, the user can quickly capture data for performance monitoring, process troubleshooting, control loop bump test, tuning, etc. The display provides a clear indication of the status of the collection with a message line, status lights, and counters. The program automatically appends a .zz suffix to the user path and filename to prevent accidental overwriting of important system files, and if the selected .zz files exists, its records are automatically appended to, rather than overwritten, to protect potentially valuable data.

The point parameters most commonly of interest (PV, Setpoint, Output, and Mode) are automatically detected and stored. The ASCII file is neatly formatted into equally spaced columns, making subsequent import into Microsoft EXCEL or other data analysis packages a breeze.

Online Help -In addition, a custom trend display is included that provides a quick trend of all the variables set up for collection, and, the HELP key will call up a condensed on-line help display.

Requirements:

• Honeywell TDC-3000 LCN Release 430 or greater
  
• A non-redundant Application Module (AM) with:
  
  • CONV and FILE external load modules installed
    
  • Sufficient free CPU and memory
    
  • System space for two additional Custom Data Segments (CDS's)
    
  • Eight character tag names on data points you wish to collect. (Let us know if you need 16 character tag name capability).
