Cyclone Power Technologies And Phoenix Power Group Announce Launch Of Waste Oil Power Generator
Cyclone Power Technologies and its licensee Phoenix Power Group (PPG) will launch the first ever small-scale waste oil power generator at the Power-Gen International 2010 conference. Cyclone and PPG will be accompanied at the show by master product distributor Clean Burn, the world leader in waste oil furnaces and boilers.
The "Phoenix 10" prototype to be unveiled at Power-Gen in Orlando, December 14-16, is powered by Cyclone's WHE-25 engine, a compact, scalable waste heat engine. The patented, renewable power system is expected to be in limited commercial production in early 2011, and will allow thousands of oil change service centers and other waste oil producing locations to recycle their waste motor oil in an environmentally-friendly and profitable manner by producing up to 10kW of electricity.
"We see enormous potential for this product, with forecasted sales in the first two years following our completed beta tests exceeding $20,000,000," stated Thomas V. Thillen, President of PPG. "This is a renewable power generator that will match the waste oil disposal requirements of the vast majority of automotive service centers and lube shops throughout the world, and provide them with an immediate revenue producing opportunity."
"We have an enormous amount of confidence in Phoenix and Clean Burn to roll-out this product successfully in 2011," stated Cyclone's Executive VP, Christopher Nelson. "The opportunity that this team of proven professionals presents for Cyclone and its shareholders is very large and very real."
Waste motor oil is a major source of contamination of waterways that can result in the toxic pollution of drinking water. According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, waste oil from one oil change can contaminate 1 million gallons of fresh water. The Phoenix 10 presents a true economic incentive for users of motor oil to dispose of their waste in an environmentally friendly manner.
Shareholders and supporters of Cyclone who wish to attend the Power-Gen Conference in Orlando, Florida, December 14-16, should contact Wilson McQueen at the company for information and guest passes. Passes are limited and must be registered by December 7.
About Cyclone Power Technologies
Cyclone Power Technologies is the developer of the award-winning Cyclone Engine - an ecofriendly external combustion engine with the power and versatility to run everything from portable electric generators and garden equipment to cars, trucks and locomotives. Invented by company founder and CEO Harry Schoell, the patented Cyclone Engine is a modern day steam engine, ingeniously designed to achieve high thermal efficiencies through a compact heat-regenerative process, and to run on virtually any fuel - including bio-diesels, syngas or solar - while emitting fewer greenhouse gases and irritating pollutants into the air. Currently in its late stages of development, the Cyclone Engine was recognized by Popular Science Magazine as the Invention of the Year for 2008, and was presented with the Society of Automotive Engineers' AEI Tech Award in 2006 and 2008. Additionally, Cyclone was recently named Environmental Business of the Year by the Broward County Environmental Protection Department. For more information, visit www.cyclonepower.com.
