C&D Technologies' Sageon* Power Module The Compact New Genius In Power Systems

(NYSE: CHP), Standby Power Division, a leading North American producer and marketer of batteries, battery systems and integrated standby power systems, today announced the release of its advanced Sageon* Power Module, the latest development in smart power plants. The compact Sageon Power Modules are sized for smaller power needs ranging up to 200 Amps for a -48 volt system, or 400 Amps for a +24 volt system. The Power Module, like all members of C&D's Sageon Power Family, is designed to be simple to operate yet genius in delivering enhanced, built-in intelligence to minimize manual adjustments and measurements, while providing automatic information to manage power.

Designed for telecommunications applications where space is at a premium, the 5RU height of the Sageon Power Module enables end users to put the power right were it is needed. The Sageon Power Module consists of a frame with the Sageon Controller, mechanical mounting for four Sageon rectifiers, AC input breakers and all inter-system cabling.

As with the other products in the Sageon power family, the Power Module is:
