The model BA-96-1 is a quantitative, instrument designed to evaluate the working surfaces of anti-friction bearings, and is the latest version of a product which is an integral part of overhaul and repair facilities worldwide.

The basic function if the Bearing Analyzer is to measure mechanical vibration, or bearing noise. During use, a test bearing is operated to generate a noise signal, which is then compared to the previously established acceptance criteria.
