Back Pressure Regulator/Relief Valve

This regulator holds a constant pressure of approximately 20 psig (1.4 barg) at inlet to the analyzer flow control
This regulator holds a constant pressure of approximately 20 psig (1.4 barg) at inlet to the analyzer flow control valve. This pressure is maintained independent of source pressure fluctuation or sample flow changes. If the regulator opens to let excess flow pass through to drain, The excess flow is usually used as the grab sample. This unit also is a relief valve in the event of an overpressure condition.
For a sample line, the severe service (pressure reduction) is handled by a VREL. The BPR/RV only has to control pressure between 20 psig (1.4 barg) and atmosphere. This allows precise pressure control, eliminates plugging and helps ensures high reliability. Both lower and higher control pressures are available including 5 psig (0.3 barg), 7 psig (0.5 barg), 12 psig (0.8 barg), 28 psig (1.9 barg) and 42 psig (2.9 barg).
