Altra Energy Technologies Purchased by Battery Ventures and Austin Ventures

Battery Ventures and Austin Ventures, two leading software and communications venture capital firms, announced that they have acquired all of the outstanding interests in Houston-based Altra Energy Technologies, L.L.C., from a unit of The Williams Companies, Inc. and Duke Energy Corporation.

Altra is now an independent corporation, known as Altra Energy Technologies, Inc. Altra, together with its subsidiary Altra Streamline, L.L.C., is a provider of energy management software and electronic trading services.
