<%=company1%> (Baymont) was contracted by Baltimore Gas and Electric Company (BGE) to provide landbase development services for BGE's electric and gas service areas. The scope of the landbase conversion includes the digitization of features (orthophotography, paper, and other digital sources); locating BGE electric and gas customers; and orthophotography of BGE's entire service territory and surrounding regions. Baymont is extracting appropriate objects from data supplied to BGE by the Baltimore Metropolitan Council and merging it with additional data supplied by BGE. The data is realigned to rectified digital orthophotography. The digital orthophotographs are used to convert the planimetric data as a backdrop for the AM/FM/GIS facility data. The complete landbase will be verified through an on-line QA/QC program. Final deliveries will be via extracts into BGE's Smallworld data model.
The pilot phase of the project is underway at Baymont's Clearwater, Florida facility with a combination of Clearwater and Kuala Lumpur personnel. After acceptance of the pilot data by BGE, the project will be moved to Kuala Lumpur for completion.
Baltimore Gas and Electric Company is nearly two centuries old with roots in central Maryland.
