N/Ators consist of both fractional and integral alternating current (AC) motors. Fractionals are defined as motors with ratings from fractional horsepower to 7.5 hp. These motors are common to all markets: commercial, industrial, utility markets, and original equipment manufacturers (OEM). Integral AC motors range in size from 3–4,000 hp; they are used in any application where this type of horsepower and motor specs are appropriate. A number of different parts are available.
