LOGANEnergy was formed in January 1997 by Samuel Logan to fold his several business interests into one organization. Prior to 1994 these included oil and gas exploration/ production, pipeline transportation, energy marketing and project development. In June 1994, LOGAN shifted its business focus to distributed power generation, after becoming an authorized representativeof the IFC PC25 Fuel Cell Power Plant. Since that time, LOGAN and IFC have worked closely to develop and market commercial fuel cell applications for federal and private sector organizations. Typically, these efforts target customers whose technology loads require greater power quality and availability than normally supported by local utility grids. LOGAN also provides customer support, installation services, and maintenance for a fleet of IFC power plants located in Texas, the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic states.
