SOLVAir® Select SS Sodium Sulfite For SO3 Removal

In an application patent developed by J. Wilhelm et al, sodium sulfite has been shown to be a pollutant-specific treatment for SO3 removal. Many utilities have found that using the selective catalytic reduction systems (SCR) to remove NOx has caused SO3 levels to become unacceptable. Causing a blue plume, SO3 must be removed from the stack emissions. SOLVAir Select SS sodium sulfite is a low cost alternative to sodium bisulfite solution which is also used in this process.
Solvay Chemicals is the only North American producer of high quality anhydrous sodium sulfite suitable for this application. Currently being used at utilities in the eastern USA, SOLVAir Select SS has been shown to be a very efficient air pollution control chemical.
SOLVAir Select SS is available in bulk railcars, bulk trucks and packages from our facility in Green River, Wyoming.
