Installed in new or existing three to 70 in. in diameter, the Magnum universal flowmeter measures the flow of conductive liquids in filled pipes. The pipe can range up to 120 in. for the extra-long model. It operates on a magnetic principle where the sensor creates a pulsating, alternating magnetic field inside a pipe. Liquid in the pipe moves through the magnetic field and generates a signal current proportional to its velocity. Data is collected by the electrodes and then processed by the flowmeter's microprocessor. The flowmeter can carry almost any kind of conductive liquid and can be moved from one location or application to another.

Magio 3.0 software is used to run this digitally controlled unit, giving the user access to site-specific setup as well as some test functions. The software can be used in the live feed mode to display instantaneous flow. Measurements are usually shown in numerical and graphical form on the unit's graphics display.
