Ultrasonic Monitor for Coal Flow Balancing

Installation of the Acoustica pulverized coal flow balancing system is easy, requiring no holes, drilling or welding since it is a non-intrusive clamp-on device. The system is designed to reduce excessive NOx emissions caused by uneven coal flow distribution. Each system consists of four sensors and one industrial computer. The four sensors must be installed on equivalent locations on the pipelines, at a distance of between seven and ten times the pipeline diameter downstream of a bend or knee, and at least two diameters before the next bend.
