The Hutter System is a pin and method which turns rotors and performs coupling alignment checks

The Hutter System is a pin and method which turns rotors and performs coupling alignment checks. The method employs pins to temporarily connect unbolted rotor couplings for rotation and alignment, allowing any number of couplings to be aligned simultaneously.

The pins ensure accurate data and work well with dial indicator rim and face method or laser alignment systems. Pins maintain the angular relationship between the coupling halves during rotation, thereby keeping the rotor match marks in close tolerance, improving alignment accuracy.

Pins work on fossil, nuclear, or combustion turbines. They are available in six standard sizes, ranging from 1-3/4-in. to 4-in. diameter.
