Thermon Unveils CompuTrace Express

A) Thermon - CompuTrace® Express

Easy-To-Use Online Tool Designs the Optimal Heat Tracing System

Thermon Group Holdings, Inc. (“Thermon”) announces CompuTrace Express, the latest addition to its industry-leading line of heat trace design software. With this new online tool, users can easily design the optimal heat tracing system using Thermon products.

Online Design Tool = No Software to Download
CompuTrace Express was developed to be mobile-friendly, and leverages the power of Thermon’s CompuTrace Design Suite database. It is the new industry standard in heat trace design and primarily supports smaller projects in the industrial sector for maintenance, repair, and upgrade expansion projects.

Design a System in Four Simple Steps

  • Create Project
  • Edit Circuit - modify system defaults (e.g. change pipe size, circuit length, insulation)
  • Create Design
  • Generate Bill of Materials

“We developed this new tool in response to customer requests for an easy-to-use solution that would address smaller heat trace circuit requirements,” said Lance Bielke, Manager of Marketing Communications for Thermon. “For example, systems that may be part of a larger primary heat trace system, but require design review for proper operating temperature.”

“Best In Class” CompuTrace Express Enhances Heat Trace Design Efficiency
CompuTrace Express can be operated on a local desktop, tablet or mobile device. The design calculations in Thermon's CompuTrace program are performed in accordance with generally accepted engineering practices. Designs are based on user-specified input so the user is responsible for the completeness and accuracy of the data.

Component lists generated by CompuTrace are based on an estimated number of circuits, and do not include an allowance for spares. An engineer who is familiar with heat tracing - or is an experienced heat trace designer - should perform the actual circuit layout and confirm that the recommended quantity and type of components are appropriate for the application. Products must be installed and used in accordance with Thermon instructions and local codes. Additional information relating to the design, installation, and use of Thermon products is available upon request.
