TEMA type heat exchangers provide twelve times or more the heat transfer surface per foot of tubing than comparable bare tube exchangers.
TEMA type heat exchangers provide twelve times or more the heat transfer surface per foot of tubing than comparable bare tube exchangers. Not only do they require less tubing and smaller shells, but the fintubes minimize tube skin temperature, thus minimizing fouling and sedimentation build-up. Corrosion is also reduced due to the lower metal temperatures produced by the fins.
Tank Suction and Line Heaters
The suction heater lowers pumping costs by reducing the viscosity of product as it is discharged from the tank. An optimal isolation valve can be fitted to seal off the fintube bundle from the tank contents for easy inspection and maintenance. The entire bundle is removable when the valve is closed without having to empty the tank's contents.
The in-line heater can serve the same functions as the suction heater although it is totally exterior to and separate from the tank. When valved on the inlet side, it can be removed from the line for any reason, including relocation to a different service, without draining the tank. A single line heater can also service multiple tanks
