Surface-Mount Multiple Voltage Power Source

Astec America offers the AK40/42A Series, designed to deliver a high-power density (15W/in.³), 24/48 VDC power solution for embedded DC/DC applications. The unit is a compact converter that provides single-output voltages of 1.5, 1.8, 2.1, 2.5, 5.0, or 12 VDC. This product also features dual-output voltages of 1.8 and 2.5VDC, 5 and 3.3VDC, or 3.3and 2.5VDC. By providing both dual- and load-sharing outputs, these units are designed to provide a bridge for applications that are transitioning from one voltage to another (e.g. 5V to 3.3V etc).

The system has an operating temperature range from 40°C to 75°C, a storage temperature range from 55°C to 125°C, and meets EN55022, CISPR22 and FCC Class A specifications for conducted noise. All models are UL recognized, CSA certified and compliant with IEC 950 and CB 52719-106. Additional features include:
• Input differential and common mode filtering
• Hot-insertable with inrush current limit
• Input undervoltage lockout with hysteresis
• Output overvoltage protection
• Remote shutdown
